Description
Retirement in a small mountain town sounds perfect–until the first body turns up.
Sue and Alan Jaworski move to the peaceful mountain town of Aspen Notch to enjoy their retirement. She pictures tranquil walks and postcard-worthy views; he’s dreaming of winter ski slopes. But their plans for a slower pace are quickly upended when Alan accepts the interim position of police chief–and Sue stumbles upon a dead body.
Barely settled, Sue inherits an unruly puppy, receives a chilling death threat, and begins to suspect Aspen Notch isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Between a suspiciously controlling mayor, a grieving family, and elusive townsfolk, everyone’s a suspect–and someone’s willing to kill to keep their secrets buried.
With the clock ticking, can Sue use her sharp instincts and eye for detail to help Alan solve the crime before she becomes the next victim?
The first in the Aspen Notch Mystery Series, Murder in Aspen Notch is a wholesome cozy mystery with endearing characters and a satisfying whodunnit at its heart. If you enjoy Betty Rowlands, Murder, She Wrote, or the classic charm of Nancy Drew, you’ll feel right at home in Aspen Notch.
