Finding Naomi

Description

“A delightful novel by a skilled storyteller, Japan and the American Midwest blend seamlessly in this fast-paced modern-day fairy tale.” -Karen Hill Anton, author of A Thousand Graces

Naomi Kihara has spent her life believing she was abandoned.

Raised in Japan by her grandparents after her mother’s death, Naomi grows up convinced her American father walked away without looking back. Now stuck in a dead-end Tokyo bar job and nursing a failing relationship, she expects nothing more from life.

Then the police knock on her door.

Her father is dead. And she is his sole heir.

But inheriting his estate comes with a condition: Naomi must leave Tokyo and live for one year in his tiny Nebraska hometown-a place she’s never seen, among people who aren’t thrilled that the forgotten Japanese daughter now owns land that’s been in their community for generations.

As Naomi steps into a world of farms, family secrets, and small-town scrutiny, she begins uncovering truths about her father-and herself-that challenge everything she believed.

Finding Naomi is a heartfelt, cross-cultural story of identity, forgiveness, and second chances. It’s about discovering where you come from… and deciding who you want to become.
