She never thought she’d fall in love with a rabbi…
After twenty years in a Cape Breton commune, Charlie Tanner lost the man she believed was her soulmate. Fleeing to a quiet cottage in Vermont, she’s determined to mourn the loss by tending her garden, and then find a way to start over.
When a widowed rabbi awakens feelings she thought were gone forever, Charlie must make a bold choice to step into a new identity and finally claim a kind and sustaining love that empowers her to move forward with confidence. But reverberations and rumors from her old life ripple back to her, making it impossible to escape the sinister truth of her last two decades. Charlie’s past continues to haunt her, even to the point of threatening her life.
She must summon the courage to face the truth and speak up-become the strong woman she once wanted to be, before she fell for lies and charismatic personalities. It’s not only her life on the line, now. If she doesn’t stand up, she risks losing her last chance at love.
A captivating blend of romance, mystery, and emotional depth similar to Where the Crawdads Sing, I Love You, Charlie Tanner is for fans of Lucy Score and the Netflix hit Nobody Wants This. A courageous story of second chances, making peace with the past and accepting love however it shows up.
